This guide will only contains strategy to puzzles and Bosses in the Palace.
1st Exhibition Room
This is one of the easiest room in this Palace. Just head to your right and make your way up north. Remember to unlock the door near the entrance before heading to the next room.
2nd Exhibition Room
Head inside near the shiny golden vase to trigger event and your party will be locked inside a trap.
Use the third eye ability to find the spot to climb up and get into the room on your left. There will be a button glowing in red. Press it and Panther will be released. Go get her back into the party first.
Climb up again to move to the room on the right. Go to the painting glowing in blue when you use your third eye ability. Move the painting and press the button behind it. Go rescue Ryuji before proceeding.
In the same room, look for the boxes to climb (it can be identified by the small squares on the mini map). Climb into the box that leads to a vent. Crawl through the vent.
You will need a password for the control terminal. Leave the control room through the door to eavesdrop on the password.
You will bump into your the Regent. Use Frei attack to knock it down and talk to it to get it to join the party.
In the next Section, once you stepped into the room, the alarm will trigger off. Look out for the area where you can climb up and then hook over to the upper platform. There is a button to disable the alarm on the platform. Jump down when you are done.
Before moving on, head up the stairs first. Go to the middle of the room and you will be prompt that you can hook yourself over. This give you access to the treasure chest that you can see earlier on but can’t reach. Right behind the chest is the first Will Seed room of this Palace.
Central Garden
You won’t be able to proceed if this is your first infiltration to the Palace as the way is blocked. The only way to get past this area is to return to the Real World and open the door to it. Remember to use the Safe Room first before you leave.
The game will move on to the next day and the door will open with the story event.
Treasure Hall Lounge
You will encounter the first kind-of-a-mini boss here but there are only two members in your party to take him down.
Security Shadow
- Weak to Fire
- Resist Ice & Curse
Battle Tactic
- This is quite an easy battle if you have been battling all Shadows that you encountered so far.
- Let Joker use Fire attack on it to take it down and perform an all out attack
Once the battle is over, head to the control room on the left behind the boss and disengage the security.
Panther, Mona and Yusuke will fell into the Palace on your way out. You will not be able to use the Safe Room to travel to the entrance due to story event. Follow the map towards the Red Exclamation Mark to trigger story event. Yusuke will awaken and you get into an easy battle. Yusuke will be too tired to proceed and you need to leave the Palace.
On your next infiltration, head straight to the last Safe Room. Once you get into the next section, your paths are blocked by gate and traps. Head to the right to get into the large area filled with lasers. Move over to the West of the Treasure Hall Lounge and you will see the control room blocked by a Shadow.
Once the battle is over, head to the control room and you will need a password again to deactivate the traps. Head out from the locked door and you will hear the guard talking about the password at Madarame statue’s foot. Check the statue for password and go back to the control room to input it.
Take the 2 treasure chest that are now accessible before heading up to check the giant paintings. Jump into the painting and move to the next painting on the left and jump out. This is an easy puzzle.
Once you jumped out of the painting, check that there is a vent that you can crawl through.
Treasure Hall Gallery
This room is filled with painting puzzle. Follow the below instruction to pass through the paintings:
- Jump into the first painting and move to the right
- Walk into the Shrine Door
- Jump out of the next painting and pres the button
- Climb back into the painting and move to the left to return to the first painting
- Move to the right again and move to the right of the 2nd painting this time
- Jump down from the boat and press the button
- Jump down and climb back into the first painting and repeat step 2
- Climb up the rock and walk north in the painting
- Jump out of the Painting

In the next area, before moving on, look out for the Will Seed Room. The steps are a little hard to explain in words so I have put up a video for guidance.

In this room, you need to identify the real Sayuri Painting to move on along the path. Here’s the guide to follow on which painting is real:
- The one in red
- The third painting with a branch
- Walk to the area with a large hidden wall and 4 paintings in front of it. Reveal the treasure chest and the real painting behind it.
Head into the portal and you will see a yellow portal at the bottom of the flights of stairs after being warped. Go into it and if you see a treasure chest, you are in the right place.
Main Treasure Hall
Important: Use the Safe Room.
Check the treasure that Madarame is guarding in the center. You can’t reached it since it’s heavily guarded. Look around for ways to steal the treasure.
Go to the room north of the first Safe Room and try out all options at the control terminal.
Head over to the right side of the Hall next. There is a Will Seed room nearby. Look at the vent and crawl through it.
Find the place to hook yourself up and run across the panels to the other side of the Hall.
You will see the Will Seed room up ahead with a strong Shadow guarding it. The shadow is weak to Frei attack.
Behind the 2nd Safe Room, check the place where you can use L1 to hook yourself over to the other side.
Head into the room and you will notice that there is a lever where you can lower the hook right above the Treasure. Walk up the plank to check on the position and then check the lever back in the room again.
Route to Treasure Room is now secured!
Once you stole the treasure, exit from the window instead of heading back down. This is trigger the final battle with Madarame.
Ichiryusai Azazel Madarame
Battle Tactic
- Madarame Boss battle is split into two parts. You need to battle his four paintings and also Madarame himself and his clones.
- Right Eye
- absorb elemental magic attack
- use physical and non-elemental attack
- deals high magic attack
- Left Eye
- absorb elemental magic attack
- use physical and non-elemental attack
- able to revive fallen parts and provide support buffs to other parts
- Nose
- absorb physical and gun attack
- Use magic attack
- deals high magic attack
- Mouth
- absorb physical and gun attack
- Use magic attack
- deals high physical attack
- Bring down the left eye first to prevent it from reviving other parts followed by the right eye.
- Once the four parts are taken down, Madarame will appear.
- Use highest attack on Madarame
- When you deal significant damage to Madarame main form, he will summon the four clones of different element.
- Just use the right elemental attack to bring them down and keep passing the baton to increase attack.
- You should try to keep Yusuke and Ryuji as the last baton so that they can use the AOE Physical attack on all 5 of them.
